Our
stock carvings of repetitive designs are certified by the artists as
the hardwood they are described to be. They are carved at the
offshore plant of Caleb and Clarrie Ross, then exported to New
Zealand for sale and end site shipping.
No
trees are being harvested to produce this work. All of the
wood used has been recovered from naturally fallen trees.
You
will find this product to be extremely well carved, absolutely premium
materials and ethically "pono" as it is a Kiwi owned business which
keeps all cultural tenets in place as a foundation, but is not afraid
or reluctant to pursue excellence through the use of modern resource.
We
believe in the words of the late Ed Parker; "Knowledge is bound when
compelled to tradition, knowledge is endless when tradition is bound."
and heartily encourage these kinds of evolutionary changes and
improvement to the arts while holding true to traditional values and
purposes of expression.
Custom work from these
artists is available and they are very talented. If you can
sketch or find a picture of what you desire, it can likely be created
especially for you from this beautiful, quality material.
